Proven Reliability

Rarely do you get a second chance to record live audio. You need dependable equipment to capture and process the source audio. Since 1979, DAC has rolled-out reliable products year after year, pushing technology toward increasingly innovative solutions.

Dr. James E. Paul, an internationally recognized authority in digital-voice filtering, founds the company with its initial product line: noise-reduction filters
s DAC expands the product line to include the first effective noise-cancellation filters, simplified tape-enhancement filters, multichannel adaptive filters, the first programmable digital filters, the first multi-mode enhancement filters, and the T-Series filter modules.
s DAC continues to expand, offering the company's first transcribers and PC-based systems with programmable features.
DAC introduces new software to analyze raw audio, speech-detection monitors, and an electronically steerable processor that works with complex microphone configurations.
DAC designs a new and updated version of its all-in-one laboratory audio processor, an ultrasonic bug detection device, and a portable countermeasures device.
DAC introduces the SSABR, the body-worn, solid-state audio recorder as well as the QuickEnhance® line of hardware and software audio enhancement products.
DAC introduces the SSABR G2, the second generation solid-state audio recorder of even smaller size and the PCAP II Plus complete forensic audio enhancement system.
DAC releases the PCAP II “Plus upgrade” with 50% more processing power, broadband filtering, and an improved user interface.  DAC begins customizing turn-key forensic audio workstations with LabBuilder online configuration tool.
DAC releases its most powerful filtering tool to date: CARDINAL Forensic Examiner, the next generation in forensic audio processors. This unit is extremely powerful and was designed specifically for laboratory settings. It has a myriad of analog, digital, and opticals inputs/outputs and can handle multiple projects at one time.
DAC introduces Accelerated DAC School to meet the needs of the forensic audio community. DAC develops the MicroDAC V Stereo, Multi-reference Noise Canceller for tactical use.
DAC upgrades the QuickEnhance® Audio Suite. Among the improvements are enhanced automatic filtering capabilities, an improved auto-normalize function and an increase in the sliders on the graphic equalizer from ten to twenty.
DAC introduces the CARDINAL Tech Agent, for technical investigators who don't require all the power and inputs/outputs of the CARDINAL Forensic Examiner but still need the sophisticated tools this cutting edge unit has to offer. The CARDINAL TA provides tremendous versatility and enough power for all but the most challenging audio recordings.
