Probe Interface Pod II (PIP II) is an effective countermeasures amplifier that can be directly interfaced to power mains, telephone lines, and other types of wiring. A built-in 1-27 VDC phantom power supply allows energizing of wire pairs to test for the presence of hidden microphones. A built-in hum filter effectively removes 50/60 Hz hum allowing the 0 to +40 dB output gain stage to amplify the remaining signals.
