Education and Training

Whether you are new to forensic audio or you bring to it a wealth of experience, DAC provides an excellent training program in forensic audio processing to meet your needs. Our latest course, Accelerated DAC School, is built on years of training experience and customer feedback and introduces the latest in technological advances, audio expertise, and real-world application. As our industry changes and audio technology improves, procedural requirements can also change. DAC has created this five day course to keep your organization informed and help maximize the usefulness of your training experiences. Generally, we offer the Accelerated DAC School course twice per year - once in the fall and once in the spring. In addition, DAC offers separate customized training programs that are specific to your requirements and needs. Customized trainings are scheduled as needed for specific operational requirements or to support recent product purchases. Further, basic understanding of sound and noise can be learned through our online tutorial. If your organization is interested in participating in DAC School training, please review the information below and email us at sales@dacaudio.com to get involved. We look forward to working with you!

Three-Day DAC School

Based on DAC's CARDINAL forensic audio platform, the Three-Day DAC School provides one day of lecture on forensic audio concepts and theory and two days of practical and hands-on training at the DAC facility in Durham, NC. Unlike the Accelerated DAC Schools, which are specially-organized events, this course is generally available once per month, year-round, and private sessions can also be arranged. Please contact DAC to find out when the next session is available, or to arrange a private session if desired (at least 3 students are required for private sessions). All travel, lodging, and meals expenses are the sole responsibility of each student, including transportation between the hotel and the DAC facility each day; however, there are several nearby hotels that provide free shuttle service, to include both the RDU airport and the DAC facility. Please contact DAC for course registration and local hotel information. Please note that the enrollment for each session closes at 30 days prior to the scheduled date; confirmation will be provided to all registered attendees at that point, and the tuition cost will be invoiced and/or charged to the attendee's credit card.
